Just be a fan and support stuff when necessary, you don't need to "join" anything.

Wow! A croatian article about the LBA's... If you want, guys, I can try to translate it to English, since I'm probably the only one who also speaks Croatian around here.

Edit: Translated the whole LBA 1 preview and the prologue of the LBA 2 preview. Here you go:

Do you remember the game Alone in the Dark? Its French programmers left the Software company Infogrames and went into Adeline Software, part of Electronic Arts. The first and male; LITTLE BIG ADVENTURE is a real remake-job of computer
animation.
Note by OBrasilo: The first part is the game's introductory text. Since we already have an English version of it, I decided to use that, also thanks to the MBN's quote database.
The game is set on planet Twinsun. It's rotational plane has stabilized between two suns. There is a huge mountain range running along its equator, that divides the planet in half; each hemisphere is warmed by a single sun. The Northern hemisphere, with its orange sky, is warmer than the Southern hemisphere. Except for a polar region, the planet's climate is clement. The formation of life forms on the planet was thus favorable. Four species developed over the course of the centuries: The Spheros, the Rabbibunnies, the Quetches and the Grobos. They all lived in harmony until a tyrant named Dr. FunFrock reared his ugly head.
Ever since FunFrock's rise to power, the population has been living under a reign of terror. FunFrock set up a police state where suspicion is omnipresent. He is all powerful and controls the people with an iron fist. He has at his disposal two high tech weapons that insure his power: cloning and teleportation. He can clone any of the species at will, and subsequently recruit these clones into his ranks.
A few years ago, under the guise of protecting the population, Dr. FunFrock herded the planet's habitants into the southern hemisphere. The repression is harsh. Every day brings more and more arrests, and the people slowly begin to lose hope. In an effort to keep their spirits up, the people sometimes evoke an ancient legend along with the name of a goddess, Sendell. The mentioning of the legend or Sendell has since been forbidden by Dr. FunFrock. Meanwhile... a young quetch named Twinsen has been having strange dreams...
Note by OBrasilo: From here on, I actually start translating the article.

The 3-D graphics is absolutly honorable
Hide inside the garbage truck

The beauty is visible in all the images
The game is similar to Alone in the Dark, but they went a lot further in Little Big Adventure. The difficult angles of view from Alone in the Dark were changed by a well-tested 3-D isometric perspective. The SVGA resolution makes detailed graphics possible, so that we can forget the pixely characters and details from Alone in the Dark.
The negative side of SVGA graphics is that it eats quite a lot of system resources, so that the the characters were, to gain on speed, made drastically smaller. When you add to this that each character is made of 250 polygons, and every Gouraud (Guru) object is shaded and lighted, it's not strange that the minimum requirement for running this game is 386DX40 with 4 MB memory and local bus!!!! The recommended platform is 486DX266 with 8 MB of memory with a local bus card (Vesa or PCI).
The first thing you'll see when you start the game is your mouth wide open. The reason for this is the fenomenally smooth character movement in the game, while the ambient is cured to the smallest details. When you add to this the music, which adapts ot the situation, in which the main character (Twinsen) is and the excellently digitized sound effects, the "problem" with the mouth is the most natural thing of the world.
It's interesting that major part of the game is written in assembler (the parts which require execution speed), while the characters control and the part which controls scenario are written in C, which is used by most of the programmer companies because of the ease of its programming.
We played the demo version of LBA with the length of some 20 MB, until the complete game gets released on CD-ROM, and later possibly also as a shortened floppy version.

Selection of one of the 4 behavior modes
The control of the main character has something completely new. You have four behavior modes available:

1. Normal (you can communicate with other characters, pick up the objects and use them)
2. Sporty ( used for running and jumping; please be careful because you could crash into a wall or a door in a big AAAAARGH!!!!
3. Aggressive ( some peopel will probably like this mode most of all; it's used for combat and you won't survive even 10 seconds without it)
4. Discreet (you can crawl and show behind someone's back; for example, to escape from the prison, you need to use this function to hide in the garbage pile and when the truck comes, snick into it and thus escape).

Adeline Software, the company who made games, such as Alone in the Dark or Time Commando, gives us the sequel to the well-known game Relentless: Little Big Adventure. Twinsen, the hero with the tunic, comes to our screens again.
