Cover Art

European Release Box Front UK Release Box Front Asian Release Box Front
Yesterday I also scanned the boxes of LBA and Twinsen's Odyssey I have here. And I've put them online here:
It would be nice if we could complete the collection with all releases. So if you have a release that isn't there yet please scan all parts of it. Don't take cover art images from other sites (like mobygames), unless they are of a high quality and don't contain watermarks.

That being said. I think the cover of LBA1 is far superior to the covers of LBA2 and TO

Agreed. Although all the covers reflect the atmoshpere of their repsecitve games really well, LBA had a better atmosphere. So ofcourse it's box art will be better.

Hmm, the Asian cover doesn't look that good really, although the other two are pretty good. I didn't know that the UK had a different cover from the rest of Europe though, I wonder why.

I have the LBA2 EA classics box which I could scan if you'd like me to. the CD is the same as the original though. I got LBA1 of ebay so that's just a Relentless CD (which I could also scan if you need me to since I didn't see it on there.

I also own Time Commando and I saw you made section for that so I can scan that too if you want.

If no one bothers to do it before me, I'll scan the cover art of the PS1 version of LBA1.
And you should add the Japanese release aswell.

It's not different. The Dutch cover simply has dutch text instead of English. The manual is also Dutch, but that's about it. I think EA released localised versions of LBA2 boxes in every european country.

That's most likely correct. I know that Hakvin on the forums has a Swedish version, atleast.

That's a given.

I can try to post the US version of LBA1. There's not much difference, it's just the words spell "Relentless" and the disk is orange.

Here in Slovenia, the box had English text, and came with the English manual.

BTW, I think the Asian cover is the same as the U.S. one, but with the Activision logo instead of the Virgin one. I could be wrong, though.

And BTW, I'll try to scane the covers that I have left, namely:
- LBA 1 German manual cover (one of my two LBA 1 CD's came without a box, and with the German manual only; it also had no CD case);
- LBA 1 German CD #1 (from the release with the manual);
- LBA 1 German CD #2 (from the release with the CD case);
- LBA 1 German CD case back and front.

NOTE: The LBA 1 German LBA 1 releases that I have, are original, but they're a bit different from all normal European releases, that is in cover/CD art.

That would be it.

The US edition of TO apperently has a flip-side for the front of the cover with some extra images and a bit of text, at least it looks like that on the images hosted on mobygames. And the jewel case also has a booklet (my asian release doesn't have that)

Apperently there are quite some "vague" releases of LBA1, like the german "green paper" release, or that russian release that is even fully localised.

And besides that there are more official looking re-releases (like's E.A. publisher's choise and budget releases).

Examples of some "odd" releases:
[lba1] German Green Paper release:
http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/re...CoverId,33132/

[lba2] A german release with a blue CD (tandem release?):

The German "Green Pepper" release is exactly one of the two I have. It's the one which came with the CD case.
I also have a German "Green Pepper" release of Theme Park.

El: I scanned my stuff (Time Commando, LBA2 EA Classics and Relentless) but its 120 MB total (just scanned it and didn't do anything else with it so you could do whatever you want with them). Would you like me to adjust them myself (tell me how you need them) or would you like me to send them to you (on IRC or whatever) like they are now?

Green Pepper ? I bought my LBA 1 in something called Zielona Seria (green series) maybe it's somehow related.

well.. gimme.

don't waste on the space (e.g. a 300dpi scan saved as PNG or JPEG @ absolute maximum quality), if you've scanned it contact me and I'll provide you with a place where you can upload the files.

Cool Panadol, you kept it nice. I'd never seen the PS1 box before now so that's cool.
