Bugs collection

In this thread we collect the bugs of both LBA1 and LBA2 (PC versions).
Some bugs are really useful for exploiting, eg. for playing challenges. Others may be just very funny or frustrating, optionally including workarounds.

Post every bug in it's own post, do not post anything else, and do not go offtopic. This thread is meant to collect the related information, so no discussions please. This thread will be used to keep it all together for now instead of spread out across the entire forums, until I merge it with the related Twinsuniverse category.

Guidelines
Please include all this information:
  • State whether it relates to LBA1, LBA2 or both, or the LBA1 mobile version
  • Specify a name for the bug if it already has one, or make up one that sounds official (e.g: jump/save bug)
  • What type of bug is it? Is it a crash, bug, spelling, glitch, scripting, etc.
  • Provide a severity level, noticing how obstructive a bug is (low, medium, severe etc)
  • Write a description, what does it do or how does it happen
  • How can we reproduce it if at all
  • What exploitable uses does it have and/or what workaround can be used
  • Links to threads about this bug if there are any (please refer to the list of threads in the notes below as well)

White Coat Scripting

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Scripting/Bug

Bug Severity: Low

Description: Guard gets stuck in the walking animation, even though he doesn't change his position at all.

How to reproduce:
  1. In the area right before the Clear Water Lake, position yourself below the stairs, near the guard dressed in White Coat, while he is in the western-most position
  2. When he gets in the attack postion, run away, making sure he doesn't have enough time to shoot.
  3. He will then get stuck walking towards you.

Exploitable Uses: Guard won't attack you even if you stay right by his side

Workaround: Leave the scene, his position will restart to the original one.

Floating Action Icon

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Glitch

Bug Severity: Low

Description: Two Action Icons appear floating outside the map area on Fortress Island, at the location Dino Fly flies to when you are moving to another island. If you try to move to the location with the proto-pack, Twinsen will go outside the map area and perform a climbing/drowning action, just to die right after. (See the second image)

How to reproduce: Enter Fortress island with the Dino Fly, and use your jetpack to get to the shown location.

Exploitable Uses:: None

Workaround:: None

Black Holomap Screen

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Glitch

Bug Severity: Medium

Description: Holomap image gets black if you switch to another app or the main menu of your cellphone while having the Holomap open. The holomap touch rotation becomes completely broken and often stucks.

How to reproduce:
  1. Open the holomap while playing the game
  2. Inactive the game by quitting to OS app screen
  3. Get back to get from OS
  4. Holomap will appear shortly but than disappear

Exploitable Uses: None

Workaround: Close your Holomap before changing screens. If the bug happens, re-open the game.

Citadel Island Teleport Pad

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Glitch

Bug Severity: Low

Description: If you walk above a teleport pod on Citadel Island, after entering the scene via the left side, Twinsen will colide to an entity, even though it doesn't appear on the screen.

How to reproduce:
  1. Enter the scene from left side;
  2. Walk on top of teleport;
  3. Game plays the teleport sound;
  4. Twinsen suffers unit collision without any NPC appearing;
  5. Leave the teleport and, after few seconds, the NPC will appear, with the expected behavior.

Exploitable Uses: None

Workaround: Don't walk above the teleport.

Game Over Below Movement Arrow

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Glitch

Bug Severity: Low

Description: The green arrow that indicates the movement destination area is on top of the Game Over screen.

How to reproduce:
  1. Get yourself with enough HP so that you will die in the next attack.
  2. Tap the screen to move to a certain location (as far as you can) and make sure you are attacked by a projectile while doing so.

Exploitable Uses: None

Workaround: None

Rotated Limbs

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Animation Glitch

Bug Severity: Low

Description: Twinsen and other characters may perform weird animations and/or have limbs rotated strangely. This can also be spotted in other characters.

How to reproduce: Happens at random

Exploitable Uses: None

Twinsen Wants Beer Too

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Scripting/Crash

Bug Severity: Medium

Description: After placing Twinsen in that spot while the rabbibunny is reaching to give the bear to the customer, the game hangs, and you loose any control on Twinsen. The only way out is to close the game and load it again.

How to reproduce:
  1. Enter the Citadel Island Bar;
  2. Talk to the customer;
  3. Go to the bar and order a beer to the customer;
  4. Stay in the shown position and wait for the waiter.

Exploitable Uses: None

Workaround: Do not stay in shown position

Magic Ball Bounce

Version: LBA1 Mobile version

Bug Type: Scripting/Sound/Glitch

Bug Severity: Low

Description: When throwing the magic ball while facing a wall, there is chance that the ball will bounce for a very long time, following a logical path, and then stop, staying at the location it stopped its movement. The magic ball will, then, produce a lot of noise if you reach close to it.

How to reproduce: Throw the magic ball while facing a wall and jump. Repeat until the bug occurs.

Exploitable Uses: Kill enemies much farther then you without risk taking damage.

Workaround: Don't throw your ball while facing a wall. If bug occurs, throw your magic ball again after it stops moving.
