Yeah time is the big limit as you get old. Costs seem nearly nothing by comparison - especially with GoG/Steam/Humble et all chucking crazy deals all the time.
--
Anyway being a mostly PC/Nintendo folk my predictions are;

1. Microsoft starts pushing Windows10 related gaming stuff - specificaly highlighting cross platform Xbox/PC stuff (after all, with Windows10 it will all be the same code anyway)

2. Valve, Facebook and Sony will all push their VR headsets. Microsoft & Facebook seem to have the edge here, apparently teaming up for Oculuas Rift compatibility on XboxOne games.
I am still hoping/praying for a standard for this stuff though, as it will be stupid if consumers need different HMDs to run different games.

3. Nintendo will show Starfox, FZero (based on mario karts engine) as well as highlighting games already out or just out.
Showreal of Zelda. Nothing on any next gen system yet.

I just want a release date for Xenoblade X in Europe really.

4. As is often the case lots of interesting Indie stuff, but you will need to dig over the news to find it.

Oh, and with any luck Microsoft will show off a proper version of Minecraft for the Hololens.

Nintendo also doing a world championship thing on youtube right now;
https://www.youtube.com/user/Nintendo

Basically a live Nintendo contest in the format of one they did a few decades back.

I'm not expecting too much, a few 3DS games would be nice though.
Why are you talking about next-gen ? Is the current one over already ?

edit : looking at the nintendo championship's super metroid part, can't help but think about how a speedrunner would humiliate all of them
Kinda pointless to do a competition if you don't get the best players

I'm not talking of next gen stuff, I only mentioned it there because there was stuff a month back about Nintendo working with Google on something, but it proved to just be a rumor. Nintendo did confirm they were working on a new system, but that's like "duh". Any games firm will be working on the next system the second the current one is out - essentially ongoing hardware experiments constantly.

Anyway;

* The first Earthbound game (ie, the NES one) is officially being released in europe/us. Only 20 years late, but whatever.

* Lots of smash brothers DLC stuff, not my thing but Its pretty popular.

On the PC Front (Bethesda);
DOOM, Battlecry, Dishonored 2, The Elder Scrolls Online update, Fallout 4 and some Elder Scrolls based card strategy game. No dought trying to cash in on the success of that Heartstone game.

I like smash pretty much. The new update makes smash unlaunchable on 3DS below firmware 9. ... 9.6 I think ? I don't know if it's on purpose, but that's a good way to annoy homebrew lovers/hackers/pirates.

I forgot that I also eagerly wait news about the Occuluc Rift's possible release

I tried one out some month ago, had to stop after 20 mins, else I was going to throw up. The guy who owned said he had to play with two day breaks between his sessions, then he got used to it.

I dont think theres been Occulus Rift news yet other then a few things from Microsoft that the XBox and Windows10 will support it.
Specifically the Xbox will stream games to the Rift, but (I think) thats only 2D for most games. (so really pretty lame)
The Rift will also use Microsoft's pads as part of their co-operation (however Rifts own "wii nunchuck like" things look a lot cooler to me)

Valve also said they are working with Microsoft for their HMD as well, incidentally.
So their might be a sort of standard forming here, unless Sony gets stubborn and says no to it.

Meanwhile, on the AR Front Hololens had Minecraft shown of for it and it looks fantastic to me;
I can see many games with that set up too. One person being "god" and viewing the game on a table, the other person inside the game on another device.

Sony had a pretty good showing too.
Again not really my thing, but I guess many will be pleased with Final Fantasy 7 getting a remake, and The Last Guardian finally coming out.

Also, bezirely, Shenmue3 is being kickstarted. Cool I guess, but a bit stupid given so few people can even play the second game. Doing a re-release of that first would make more sense.

Regarding FF7, I have so many friends that are hyped over that remake, lol

Man, I watched that Assassin's Creed trailer, it was so incredibly boring, all cutscene, no gameplay.

I also watched that 120% scripted Gears of War "demonstration". They even made sure to use so dark shades of grey that I couldn't see what was happening on the screen. Even if you knew they were lying about it being played live the gameplay was so heavily scripted it left me wondering whether the game has actual gameplay.

What's wrong with developers? Are they turning into movie studios?

They are going back to their roots and showing only cinematics in their trailers

I think a lot of heads of games studios are wannabee movie directors to be honest, although that aspect is a bit disproportionately pushed at E3.

Anyway seems there's a cuteness-off between two wool themed games;

I love games playing with styles like this.

Both games look very nice!
But the presenter of the first one is so cute *-* I mean, she sounds so passionate when talking about the game and the amiibos. She must have realy enjoyed working on the project

Nothing too fancy, but I'm always amazed. I mean, it looks like a cartoon ! This was unconceivable when I started playing...

Hololense looks like teh awesome. Come on already with the AR! Progress is too slow. Get a move on.

The cartoon thing and the whool thing look wonderful as well, but I won't have time for them I'm afraid...

I know what you mean.
I'm like;

"gah, so many games with boring greys and just unimaginative designs with people shooting eachother. Why doesn't the industry give me imaginative artistic games..."

(imaginative artistic games come along)

"wtf. I dont have time to get these games! Stupid publishers making games I don't have time for"

Definitely waiting for Last of Guardian and Uncharted 4 on PS4. Before that, I guess I will have to enjoy UC collections and Until Dawn.

Sad to see Rise of the Tomb Raider being exclusive to Xbox One.
Quantum Break looks stunning and promising, but again another exclusive from XOne.
This may tempt me to get an Xbox in Christmas or early next year.

As another user of Nintendo (yeah, got recently a 3DS) I was waiting more on their side. It seems I will have to continue enjoy the New Super Mario Bros 2.

There are already quite a lot of good games for the 3DS, may I recommend A Link Between Worlds, or Virtue's Last Reward ?

Don't buy an XOne, it is tainted by original sin

Portal + Lego you cant really go wrong can you?

Waiting to see prices though. These "plastic figure" NFC game things are normally pretty expensive.
Still, a Chell lego figure is going to be tempting.

As for 3DS back catalog....all the Ace Atterny games you can download :P
