Post Music Job for E-T

Evil-twinsen (mbn nick), was given a chance to have his music recognized by the Adeline Software company. It seems phillipe vachey got didier chanfray to accept the offer...

The good relations between Adeline, f4-toys, and the MBN is best for us so..

Good Luck E-T (Evyatar Halimi)

The Full Story...

From General "e-mail to adeline"

Also e-t did you send an e-mail to adeline cause that could mean phillipe now works there? Or did you send it to p.Vachy's e-mail?

"Well, a few days ago I sent the following Email to Adeline Software -

Hi, my name is Evyatar Halimi, I'm 18 years old and a long time Adeline fan – LBA fan in specific. I'm also a long-time member of the MBN forum, of which I believe you're familiar with (http://www.magicball.net).

First of all let me say how much I admire your work – on LBA in specific, and in general. It makes us all very happy seeing the Adeline spirit going on, and we're all full of hopes for a better future for your wonderful company and for, maybe, a future for LBA, undoubtedly the best computer game seen in the past 2 decays.

One thing that has always inspired me was your music – Phillip Vachey's music, which, in LBA especially, was always incredible… Some of his works are, in mine and many other people's opinions, absolutely genius; I find them not any less sophisticated than the works of great musicians such as even Mozart or Beethoven.

His music is one of the things that inspired me writing music, about a year ago, and now that I have already got around 18 finished pieces, I would love to be able to use them in some sort of a computer game, especially one of your computer games.

My music style moves between symphonic music to kind of "Ethnic music". I find it rather hard to describe my type of music, I usually describe my music as a phonic expression of my feelings… So I think the best way to understand what my music sounds like, is to simply listen to it...

I don't know if you're looking for any music writers, but I would sincerely appreciate it if you tried to give my music a shot. Many people at the MBN forum seem to like it very much, and plenty of other people have already told me I should try and apply for a music-writing job for a computer game company. So, here I am...

I am willing to send a few samples of my music, if you are interested.

Sincerely yours, awaiting your answer -

Evyatar Halimi, Israel.

[email address]

I was surprised to recieve an email from Philip Vachey himself, who replied with the following -

Dear Evyatar,

You can send your music to Didier Chanfray (ADELINE Soft.), he will forward it to me.

Kind regards

Philippe VACHEY

I then replied with the following -

Hi Philip…

First of all, thank you for replying, you sure made my day here…

I've got 2 questions –

Firstly, how can I contact Didier Chanfray? Would it be ok if I just gave you a link to the file?

Secondly, I've been having doubts as to which of my songs to send… I've got different styles, some are calmer, and some are a bit more intense… And not all of them would quite fit a computer game. I'd like to know if you have any preference, or should I just send whatever I see right…

Respectfully,

Evyatar Halimi.

His reply -

Hi Evyatar

Here is the business adress of Didier Chanfray. I've been talking about you, with him yesterday

Adeline software
Didier CHANFRAY
Bâtiment de la mairie
42410 Vérin
France

I think it' better to send us a C.D. instead of a link to a file.

And....send the music you really like !, and don't worry about the style.....

Regards

Philippe V.

I got so excitied just by reading he actually talked about me with Didier... I mean, I can't IMAGINE the thought of Philip Vachey going to Didier Chanfray and telling him "listen, this Evyatar dude just emailed me, and...".
*goes insane*

Anyway, I hurried up to finish my album, all problems with all songs are fixed and it's now safe to say I got everything ready.
I'll burn the cd tomorrow with 11 of my favourite tracks, and send them to Adeline right afterwards...
And who knows, maybe one of the tracks in LBA3 is gonna be one of mine

Btw, these are the 11 songs (out of 18) I decided to put in the list -
Springstorms (formerly known as "Coming Of Springtime Storms"...)
Rainflight
Soul Conquest
Legions Of The Wind
Treason In Proxima Island
War In Dreamland
Sieged Walls
Fall Of Lothlorien
Rhythm Of The Rain
Nightfall Requiem
Roads Of Citadel Island

Hopefully, they'll like the songs...
Wish me luck "

Great news indeed, E-T's music will definately be accepted by Adeline, if we LBA-fans can, then no doubt they can. Best of luck from me too E-T

Hm, well if E-T e-mail adeline themselves, then it's good to know that Didier's still in touch with Phillipe as he probably forwarded him the e-mail

Re: The Full Story...

Thanks a lot everyone
I also hope (and believe) they'll accept the music, HOWEVER, let's not get too happy about this... I would hate to be disappointed.

Right now I'm satisfied with the fact Philip Vachey is actually gonna listen to the music and give his credits.
Keep in mind this music's quality ain't at *best*, I still use semi-amature methods (and I mentioned that in the letter I attached to the cd I'm about to send, so that they take notice mostly to the NOTATION and COMPOSING of the songs rather then the quality of the instrument-samples).

In fact, this is the actual letter I'm sending -

To Philip Vachey and Didier Chanfray

In continuation to our email conversation, here is a cd with 11 of my finished songs…
I hope you will enjoy these songs as much as I enjoyed composing them…
I think you will see there are different styles here, some of the songs are more complex than others, and some are calmer than others, but they all maintain a similar style and atmosphere, I believe.

Also, I do have one comment - I'd like to state that my music skills are more in the terms of "writing" music rather than "editing" music, meaning the quality of instrument-samples here may not be as professional as the ones mostly used by computer companies, but I do believe the actual composing of notations and arrangements of the songs fit that kind of level, and that's really what counts for you, I believe. So, please take note to that fact…
Oh, and another thing - I'd truely aprreciate some specific advices on the songs, even if you don't like them, I'd like to get your professional advices here, if possible.

P.S – In part 2:44 minutes of "Roads of Citadel Island" (The Last Song) I couldn't resist the temptation and added a short Philip Vachey tribute… It just seemed to fit the song too much to avoid it... I hope you like it!

Please send me your comments to my Email, at [email address].

My home address, in case you need it, is –
(Nevermind that here, lol)

Kind Regards,
Evyatar Halimi.

So even if they dont' accept it, I'll be happy with getting Philip's comments on the songs.

No, I sent it to Adeline cause I basically wanted to work for them... I had an idea it might somehow get to Philip Vachey, but I didn't IMAGINE he's respond personally

Yeah, it would be an honour to have your music read and commented by Phillipe Vachey himself
